Today's scheduling of the RKS system was result of necessary "teambonding" between members of council. Her trip freya morningstar coincidentally checked off the first box, and now today was meant to finish things up on her side of the fence.

With the click of a button their world contracted inward, drawing out pixels left and right, until darkness began to splotch their surroundings. At first the images were silent. No different than a scribble made on a napkin. But, with time, life was born through sound. And they were both worse of because of it.

TEAMBONDING. what a particular pretense. how much could it be called that when one’s teams never overlap? fernando considers it for a second before dismissing it as arbitrary foolhardiness. the only bond they need is their aligned mission statement.

“you should see the SCREAMTAIL,” he says with a shrug, barely wincing as his jaw tightens.

like much of the league’s newer public facing initiatives, he follows her lead.

“it doesn’t matter,” is his stake in it, feeling the gravity deepen the closer they approach.

The darkness allured her. No different than the warmth of a fireplace, she bathed in its offering, appreciating it for what it was. A place of rebirth, no different than the experience The Borders offered her. [BREAK][break]

So when the disruptive unowns made their appearance, Penelope couldn't help herself from frowning and lamenting what was lost. No matter how brief that peace might've been.
